Another week full of great experiences! :)

Hello to everyone who found the path to this website ;)

I've got a lot of great things to tell and I can't wait to do this! :) I just had a week full of great moments !

Let's start with Saturday. Because on Saturday, I was on one of the most amazing concerts that I have ever seen! And: On my own. But to tell you something about the concert, we should start in Germany. Why in Germany? Well, because I got to know about the concert while I was still in Germany and saw that the french band "Alcest" were going to have a North America tour with "Anathema" ! And I was going to be in Vancouver by that time. So I was so down for that! I wouldn't want to go on my own, so I started asking friends, but...no one wanted to go. Or people didn't have time to go. Or whatever. But on Friday, one day before the concert, I didn't have anyone to go with me. I so wanted to go though!

Oh, before I forget, here you can hear a song by "Alcest"! ;)

So, I wasn't sure. But finding out that the concert would be only a bus drive of 15 minutes away, made the decision easier: I would go! On Friday, they also announced that Alcest would play a mini acoustic session at another place in Vancouver at 3pm. Concert was at 7pm. That meant that I wouldn't have much time at home in between. To make the story short: I made it.

First to the acoustic session, which only lasted for ten minutes. But it was definitely worth it (although I had to travel for 40 min one direction)! And afterwards I could even take photos with them! I was so happy :)

And the concert in the evening was even more awesome! :) Mamiffer and Anathema were great as well, but nothing in comparison with Alcest! :) OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. I was in the first row. It was just perfect. And I am so glad I did it! :) LUCKY ME HAHAH :D
Unfortunately I only took two photos with my phone and I don't have those photos here right now...but it doesn't matter anyways. :)

That was my Saturday. On Sunday, I met up with my cousin. It was raining. Uggh. Was still good to see him! :)

Oh wait. I forgot a very important day, I just realized. FRIDAY!
Because on Friday, I was on Grouse Mountain at the Artists for Conservation Gala. It was pretty foggy that day ;) You can totally see that here:

Ok, that is also rain. But I like that photo ;)

On top of Grouse Mountain there's a house were the Gala took part in. Ok, that sentence didn't make a lot of sense. Whatever. Anyways, I was there with Sharleen (German-Canadian girl!) and we were there to take photos and videos. So we did it. ;) It was a pretty long event for us (we were there from 4pm - 11.30pm), so I am not going to tell everything about it. But there were really good paintings of animals, speed drawing, good food, an auction, music.......yeah. OH. And for the speed drawing I could even see a bald eagle and two owls very very close. That was great.

Here are some photos:

Ok, now we have Monday (yes, this post is still not done ;) ).

On Monday, we went to the VIFF (Vancouver International Film Festival) and watched a dutch film, that AhornTV sponsored. It was a really weird but also really good movie! :D Here you can see the trailer:

Next day: Tuesday. I don't remember if there was something special. Well. I don't think so. I don't know :D

But we can go on with Wednesday. On Wednesday, we had two actors and the director of the short movie "For the Birds" for an interview in our office. That was really good! The movie is very...hard.

Take a look at the trailer:

Sry. couldn't it with the Youtube helper to put it on the page directly.

Ok. This post is almost done! Only yesterday is left. And yesterday I got to see the German (!!!) movie "Measuring the world" - "Die Vermessung der Welt" - that also rolled in the German cinemas!

The movie is really good. Check it out:

Yeah. So that's it! For now ;)

See you! :) Probably next week.

Oh wait. There's something else: This is a clip from the Event "Greeting Fluency" last week. I was one of the camera men! :)

Ok. That's it. Now. For real. No kidding.

Haha, sorry! :)

Tschuess und bis zum naechsten Mal,
Nina
